New York State Minorities in Criminal Justice (NYSMICJ) is an organization comprised of diverse professionals working in various areas of criminal justice. We are people from different walks of life with diverse backgrounds working towards change within criminal justice.
Our mission is working to ensure that what makes us different should not prevent us from being recruited, retained or advanced in our professions. We continue to strive for equity, fairness, and opportunity.
We believe we are witnessing a momentum for real and everlasting change in this country. NYSMICJ stands in solidarity with peaceful protest and with law abiding groups that are working towards eradicating systemic racism and racism on the State and Federal levels of justice.
New York State Minorities in Criminal Justice believes every individual, regardless of race, nationality, religion, age, gender, or sexual orientation-should all be viewed as members of the HUMAN RACE and treated with that same respect.
