What We Are Doing: The NYSMICJ is celebrating our 37th Anniversary and hosting our Annual Training Symposium on September 27-29, 2023, at the Niagara Falls Convention Center. This year’s theme is “Accountability for Change While Continuing the Struggle for Justice.”
Criminal Justice professionals were invited from within and outside of New York to travel to Niagara Falls, to participate in this comprehensive training symposium with panels and workshops addressing the theme. Attendees can strengthen ideals and actions, share best practices, network, and celebrate.

The NYSMICJ is celebrated our 35th Anniversary and hosted our Annual Training Symposium on November 3-5, 2021, at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel. This year’s theme is “Shifting the Criminal Justice Culture Towards an Equitable Future.” Criminal Justice professionals were and outside of New York traveled to Poughkeepsie (the Queen City), to participate in this comprehensive training symposium with panels and workshops addressing the theme. Attendees were able to strengthen ideals and actions, share best practices, network, and celebrate while observing CDC COVID guidelines.
