LONDON HARRIS has been a member of Region 1 for the past 9 years and was voted to be Vice President in 2014. London has been employed with the New York State Department of Criminal Justice and Community Supervision since 2003. London began his career as a corrections officer in 2003 and was elevated to the position of Offender Rehabilitation Coordinator in 2015.
In his current position, London provides guidance services to a male population at Wende Correctional Facility. More specifically, his targeted male offenders are housed in the only IICP (Intensive Intermediate Care Program), which is a component of the Office of Mental Health.
London believes in working hard, being dedicated and being dependable for whatever he is involved in. He is a firm believer that, in order to expect the best out of people, you have to lead by example. In his leisure, he loves spending time with family, watching sports and golfing. London is also a certified varsity men’s basketball official with IAABO, Inc.
London holds an Associates of Art Degree in Criminal Justice from Erie Community College, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from Buffalo State College and a Masters of Art Degree in Mental Health Counseling.
